Basseterre, St. Kitts – February 13th, 2026 – Young Optimist sailor Greyson Burrell of the St. Kitts Yacht Club is set to represent St. Kitts and Nevis at the 34th International Sailing Week of Schœlcher, scheduled for February 14–17 in Martinique.
This Regatta will bring together several classes of boats ranging from Optimist, ILCA, Bic 293, Wind/ Wing foil, and Sunfish.
Competing against top sailors from across France, Belgium, St. Lucia, Canada, Guadeloupe, St. Barts, and St. Maarten/ St. Martin , this exciting regatta marks the start of his 2026 season as he builds toward the prestigious St. Maarten Budget Marine Dinghy Championships later this year ( AHO World Optimist Dinghy Championships).
After making history in 2025 with a third-place finish at the Caribbean Dinghy Championships – first SKN sailor to make it to the podium for this event. Greyson is ready to take on another challenge once again.
