The team of Que’leel Roberts, Kamarley Newton, Akadianto Willet and K’Anthony Benjamin took home bronze in the 4x400m men’s relay in the just concluded CARIFITA Games held in Cayman Islands.
The St. Kitts-Nevis team competed in the 4x400m final on Sunday which was won by Jamaica. The other team medallists, were Trinidad & Tobago and St. Kitts and Nevis.
Jamaica won in a time of 3:16.56 beating out Trinidad and Tobago and St. Kitts. Trinidad and Tobago clocked 3:18.71 while St. Kitts and clocked Nevis 3:25.84.
This year’s quartet lowered time ran by fellow countrymen last year. Junior Rouse, Sharim Hamilton, Timothy Caines and D’Ateyel Stanley also finished third last year, (2018) in a time of 3:26.85.
This was the team’s first and only medal of the meet which concluded last night.
