PRIME MINISTER OF GRENADA TO MAKE OFFICIAL VISIT TO THE STATE OF QATAR

𝗦𝘁. 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲’𝘀, 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗱𝗮 – Prime Minister, Honourable Dickon Mitchell, will lead a delegation on an overseas mission, with engagements in Spain followed by an official visit to the State of Qatar from August 13-19, 2026. While in Qatar, Prime Minister Mitchell will engage in a series of high-level meetings with ministers, senior government officials, and other key stakeholders.

The mission reflects Grenada’s commitment to expanding its international partnership and fostering stronger strategic cooperation with both countries in priority sectors that contribute to the achievement of its national development goals.

The Prime Minister will be accompanied by Minister for Finance, Hon. Dennis Cornwall; Ambassador Andrea St. Bernard; Mr. Damian Dolland; and Consul General Ziya Rahaman.

Key Areas of Engagement
Discussions during the visit will focus on:
• Funding support for Project Polaris
• Energy cooperation, including renewable energy and hydrocarbons
• Collaboration in sports and education
• Enhanced coordination and alignment on voting positions and engagement within multilateral institutions
• Diplomatic exchanges and capacity-building initiatives
• Private sector development and investment cooperation
Honourable Lennox Andrews will act as Prime Minister until Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell’s returns to state on August 19, 2026.
