SKN PULSE – Two dominant young talents scored half centuries as the Pennyless All-Stars won the Keith Arthurton T-20 Championship for the 2nd time in two years.
The Government Road All-Stars defeated Newtown Cricket Club by 10 wickets in the grand finals of the Keith Arthurton T-20 tournament which was held at the Conaree Grounds, St. Kitts.
The Newtown team batted first and scored 153 in their allotted 20 overs.
The Pennyless All-stars team reached their target without the loss of a wicket thanks to young talents, Ross Powell and Jamie Cornelius.
Both openers secured half centuries and ensured victory for their team. At the end of the innings they were 74 and 73 not out respectively.
The All-stars team were walked away as champions of the prestigious tournament for the second consecutive year.
According to an article penned by Curtis Morton, the proud Stuart Williams was quick to point out that the feat was accomplished without the involvement of star paceman, Kian Pemberton, who is set to tour with the West Indies U19 team to participate in the U19 cricker World Cup.
