Operation Safe Streets:

TWENTY SIXTH ILLEGAL FIREARM REMOVED FROM COMMUNITIES

   

Basseterre, St. Kitts, October 20, 2016 (RSCNPF): Officers assigned to Gingerland Police Station in Nevis acting on information gathered in the community have seized another illegal firearm. 

 

The discovery and seizure occurred on Wednesday night (October 19).  Seized was one (1) 9mm Glock pistol.   This seizure brings to twenty six (26), the number of illegal firearms discovered and seized in the Federation in 2016.

 

Two illegal firearms and a number of ammunition was discovered and seized during the recent “Operation Safe Streets”. 

 

“Our vigilance is paying off” said Head of the Nevis Division, Superintendent Trevor Mills. He added, “our continuing efforts to engage the community will bear fruit, this is a testament.  We continue to engage the community with the goal of building a stronger relationship, it benefits us all in the end, this is an example.”
