Led by superb batting and bowling, Nevis U17 dominated in a triangular tournament held during the Weeknd of the 22 – 23 of December, 2018.
In Game 1 Nevis played against Anguilla.
Batting first Nevis reached 226 for the lost of 6 wickets from 40 overs. Anguilla succumbed to pressure as Nevis’ bowling attack limited them to a paltry 67. Nevis won by 149 runs.
Host St. Maarten suffered the same faith as their neighbours Anguilla. Nevis dominance with the bat ensured a 9 wicket victory.
Batting first, St. Maarten made 144 for 9 from their 40 overs. Needing 145 for victory, Nevis reached their target with 9 wickets to spare. Nevis made 145 for the loss of 1 wicket.
Justin Anderson scored two half centuries while Patrice Nisbett Jr. posted 64 in the second game.
Jaden Carmichael, the left arm spinner was the pick of the bowlers. Carlon Bowen Tuckett kept wicket in both games and was given high commendations.
The Nevis Team was represented by: T’jari Clarke – Captain, Carlon Bowen Tuckett, Justin Amurdan, Patrice Nisbett Jr., Akadianto Willett, Jaden Carmichael, Michael Seegolam, David Ramnarine, Reon Solomon, Kimani Nisbett, Jaheim Clarke, Teron Webber, Kjay Newton, Viswanauth Singh and Gyan Griffin. The team was coached by Mr. Carl Tuckett.
