SKN PULSE, Basseterre, Friday 23, December, 2016 – Seven young yet confident calypsonians vied for the Primary School Calyspso crown last evening at the Sugar Mas Village, The Circus. From social commentary on crime to national heroes, Ziquan McDowell, Kimberly Smickle, Jahshya Donovan, Marquise Washington, Terron Webbe and Divonique Liburd thrilled the audience.
However, at the end of the night, reigning Primary School King, Invincible stamped his authority on the competition as he was able to retain his crown for a second consecutive year.
Terron ‘Invincible’ Webbe, a student of the St. Thomas’ Primary School sang “As the World Turns” and he amassed a total of 429.
Fellow Nevisian counterparts, Divonique ‘Divi’ Liburd and Marquise ‘Mighty J’ Washington gave a good account of themselves. Mighty J amassed 334 points while Divi scored 319.
