Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris meeta with Nationals living in Anguilla
THE VALLEY, ANGUILLA, SEPTEMBER 13TH 2017 – “A real waste.”
That’s how Kittitian Mr. Bernard Wattley, dubbed Wednesday’s visit by an empty-handed St. Kitts and Nevis Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Timothy Harris to hurricane-ravaged Anguilla on Wednesday.
”So the Prime Minister (Harris) came through accompanied by Ian Patches and a cameraman. Why they came? I am not very certain since the PM did not appear very certain about anything he said,” Wattley posted on his FaceBook page minutes ago.
“In fact, when asked by one national about the possibility of relocating children, nationals of course, of school age, whose education here would have been interrupted by the storm, he (Dr. Harris) said his government would have to think about how it could assist,” said Wattley, Director of Library Services in the Government of Anguilla.
Wattley continued: “And would you believe the PM (Harris) having seen the devastation here found it necessary to speak to the fact that some houses in St. Kitts as well as the recreational facilities in Mansion and St. Pauls losing their roofs?”
Cayon-born Wattley warned “these visits being mere PR stunts.”
“This clearly was one such visit and without going into any details in this medium at this juncture, I will simply say the man is petty #verypetty.
And why would two separate visits have been necessary? Did he come representing Kittitians, while Mark is scheduled to represent Nevisians on Thursday?”
