Man, 30, dies after succumbing to wounds sustained in Sandy Point Shooting

Basseterre, St. Kitts, March 18, 2018 – A Thirty year old man died from his injuries after being shot multiple times on Saturday night, March 17 in Sandy Point.

Informed sources say he received three bullets to the head.

Calvin Archibald was rushed by ambulance to the JN France General Hospital where doctors and nurses attempted to save his life but were unsuccessful.

Archibald’s murder takes the death toll to 7 with 5 recorded in St. Kitts.

The latest homicide comes during a spate of shootings in St. Kitts from Sunday 11th March when Old Road residents, 23-year-old D. Foster and 21-year-old A. Reef were attacked by a gunman while they sat on the steps of the Old Road Community Centre.

On Friday night, March 16, H. Bassue was shot and injured in Taylors and G. Francis died on the spot in Newton Ground after he was shot.

While Saturday morning, March 17, Ricaldo Jeffers was shot in St. Peter’s. He is currently hospitalised with gunshot wounds.

Archibald’s murder on Saturday night brings to seven, the number of murders in St. Kitts and Nevis for 2018.
