CPL MVP, Hayden Walsh Jr. adds another trophy to his collection.
The young spin bowler was named The Runako Morton Most Valuable Player in the recently concluded Leeward Islands Men’s 50 over tournament that was held in Antigua from October 18th to 27th.
Capturing fourteen, (14) wickets, Walsh also received The Pauliva Rogers Bowler with the Most Wickets award.
In addition he also captured The James Harris Matthew Bowler with the Best Bowling figures. He bagged 5 wickets for 16 runs against Anguilla.
His outstanding performance during the Caribbean Premier League, earned him his maiden call up to the West Indies Senior team that will tour Afghanistan.
Walsh Jnr, 27 was born in St Croix, US Virgin Islands to his Antiguan father Hayden Walsh.
His father died in 2010 in a swimming pool accident at 46. Walsh Sr. played 18 first class matches for Leeward Islands in the 1980s and 1990s.
Walsh Jnr has played one One Day International and eight T20 Internationals for USA and has 23 regional first class matches under his belt for Leeward Islands and Barbados in the Professional Regional Four-Day Competition.
