Charlestown, Nevis, (SKN PULSE) – Two rounds of exciting One Day cricket has been completed and at the end of the second round of matches 4 teams have advanced to the semi-finals of the WICB Regional Super50 Tournament.
Barbados Pride, Jamaica Tallawahs, Trinidad and Tobago Red Force and the Leeward Islands Hurricanes are the top four teams in this year’s WICB Regional tournament.
The semifinals are set for Wednesday and Thursday in Antigua at the Coolidge Cricket Ground.
Semi-Final one shall take place at 1:30 (pm) on Wednesday afternoon between Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica. While the second semi-final would be played on Thursday at the same venue at 1:30 (pm).
The Leeward Islands having lost to Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday cannot afford to have an off game against Barbados.
While Trinidad has gotten the best of the Leewards on the two occasions that the teams have met, the Leewards has ample time to watch tape, strategize and build confidence to move forward.
Scores in Sunday’s game are as follows:
Scores: HURRICANES 189 all out off 48.1 overs (Jermaine Otto 38, Jahmar Hamilton 27, Nkrumah Bonner 23; Ravi Rampaul 3-27, Shannon Gabriel 3-41) RED FORCE 190-5 off 34.1 overs (Evin Lewis 47, Imran Khan 38 not out, Jason Mohammed 34, Denesh Ramdin 31 not out, Rahkeem Cornwall 3-40)
