Jamaica Covid-19 cases has spiked by 23 in the last 24 hours; there are 196 now confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Ministry, 34 of the cases are imported while 43 are contacts of a confirmed case; six are local transmission with no epidemiological link and 113 cases are under investigation. 95 of the 113 cases are associated with a workplace cluster.
Thus far 1,809 samples have been tested so far. Of which:196 are positive; 1,591 are negative and 22 cases are pending.
As per Jamaica Observer:
Some 686 contacts are being traced by parish health departments across the island, including 179 people associated with the workplace cluster.
