King Hollywood, (I Hope and We Still Have Calypso) won the Judge’s approval in the 2019 TDC sponsored Senior Calypso Monarch Competition.
Scoring 775 points, Andrew ‘King Hollywood’ Nisbett dethroned King Dis and Dat and beat his closest competitor by 15 points to win the grand cash prize of $15, 000.00.
First runner up position went to Murray, (760) who edged out Dis and Dat by 2 points.
Tallying 758 points, former King, Dis and Dat placed 2nd runner up. He failed in his attempt to two-peat, a feat which hasn’t been accomplished to date.
Hollywood who previously won crowns in 2011 and 2017 will be representing Nevis on Saturday 10 Augusy in Anguilla at the Leeward Islands Calypso competition.
The final results were as follows:
2019 TDC Senior Kaiso Monarch: King Hollywood (775 points)
1st runner up: Murray (760 points)
2nd runner up: King Dis N Dat (758 points)
