Highest Ranking: St Kitts and Nevis ranked 73rd in latest FIFA World Rankings

Basseterre,  St.  Kitts – The National Football Team of St.Kitts and Nevis has reason to celebrate: they have climbed 4 spots in the latest FIFA World Rankings released on the 9th March,  2017.

According to the latest FIFA Rankings, St.  Kitts and Nevis moved up 4 spots  from #77 to #73 with 469 points. They are ranked ahead of Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago as a result making them the 2nd Highest Ranked Caribbean team in the world behind only Haiti.

St.Kitts and Nevis, is also ranked higher than China, Kenya and Finland. 

The FIFA top ten countries in the rankings are as follows:

  1. Argentina
  2. Brazil
  3. Germany
  4. Chile
  5. Belgium
  6. France
  7. Colombia
  8. Portugal
  9. Uruguay
  10. Spain

The national team has seen improvement over the past three years. In 2014 the Team was ranked #121 in 2014. In 2015, Sugar Bozyz for the first time broke the 100 barrier and were ranked #80. The following year, they moved up three spots to #77.  Today, they are ranked #73, the highest ever ranking recorded for St. Kitts and Nevis so far.
