FORTLANDS SHOOTING UNDER POLICE INVESTIGATION

The Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on August 19th, 2023, in Fortlands, St. Kitts. The crime was committed between 5:30AM and 6AM.

According to preliminary inquiries, twenty-eight (28)-year-old Dave Henry of Fiennes Avenue, Basseterre, was fired upon by armed assailants while driving home. He crashed his vehicle while attempting to escape and sustained a gunshot wound to his left arm during the incident. He sought assistance at the Special Services Unit (SSU) base of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) in Fortlands, and was transported to the Joseph N. France General Hospital by the officers. He is currently warded for treatment of his injuries.

The Crime Scene Unit (CSU) of the RSCNPF processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the general public will be appropriately informed of its developments.
