Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 13, 2017 (SKNP): An  The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force executed  a Search Warrant on a property in Cayon last night that resulted in the seizure of an illegal firearm and matching ammunition.  

 

According to a release from the police public relations unit, the search was conducted around 10.45pm on Friday (May 12) by officers of the Special Service Unit(SSU). It resulted in the discovery and seizure of one (1) Ruger P345 .45 pistol with a magazine containing five (5) rounds of .45 ammunition.

 

Six (6) persons who were present at the location were taken into Police custody.

 

This  is the nineteenth, (19th) firearm that has been seized for the year. 

 

Residents and citizens are urged to come forward  and share any information they may have with regards to crime and criminal activity.
