A fire broke out at the Nisbet Plantation Beach Club located in Newcastle, St James Parish, on Friday evening (March 14, 2026) which caused damage to the Great House structure.
According to reports, smoke was seen coming from the Great House area of Nisbet Plantation Beach Club sometime after 6:00 P.M. Firefighter responded and were able to get the fire under control.
Investigations are ongoing and the cause of the fire has not yet been revealed.
Nisbet Plantation Beach Club in Nevis closed on April 30, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and has not reopened. Since its closure, the property fell into disrepair following its closure and has faced significant redevelopment delays.
