Jamaican sprinter, Elaine Thompson won gold at Saturday’s IAAF Diamond League Meeting in Paris.
The Olympic 100m and 200m champion stormed to victory in 10.98 seconds. Thompson was the only athlete in the field to break 11 seconds.
Marie-Josee Ta Lou of Ivory Coast finished in second position with a time of 11.13 seconds. Two-time World 200m champion Dafne Schippers placed third with 11.15 seconds.
With Doha World Championships five weeks away, Thompson is looking to get into top shape as she seeks to capture her first World Title.
