Local Soca artiste Kenny ‘Eazi’ Warner released a new single dubbed ‘Oualie’ which he dedicated to persons who truly want to stay positive during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Released on April. 24, 2020 via Sound Cloud, Oualie is the first song released by Eazi since returning to the Soca arena.

The idea behind the song came from Ricky ‘Docu B’ Brandy, who produced the beat and brought the idea to Kenny ‘Eazi’ Warner. Together, they collaborated and worked on the lyrics and melodies.

The track was mixed and mastered by Chabo Production out of St. Kitts and was an instant favorite to many listeners who gravitated towards the patriotic style and content of the song.

The track graphic was designed by Jamal ‘Sky Juice’ Jeffers and the lyrics video was composed by Hossien ‘Daddy Spane’ Brandy.

Oualie is available on all platforms, YouTube and SoundCloud. The song is also available in a Karaoke version.

According to Warner, his creative side and passion for soca music motivated him to return to, doing what he loves.

He revealed that, doing the Oualie Track rejuvenated him.

He said:

After releasing the Oualie track, it gave me a reminder of how my music inspired people to do better, and that rejuvenated me.

He opined:

My re-entry into the soca arena was a long discussed topic with close family members. I know people will talk, there will always be naysayers, but I am comfortable with my decision.

As he repositions himself within the industry, Warner envisions having a management team in place as he seeks to do more solo events.

The time away from music helped him to build more self confidence, allowed him to sharpen his skills and afforded him the opportunity to register his tracks online.

With a solid strategy going forward, Warner said:

My fans would be pleased to note that I incorporated different aspects in the new track. Hence going forward, fans can expect a more improved artiste, both musically and mentally. Additionally, they can look forward to regional colabs, more solo performances and more surprises.
