SKN PULSE – It was just on Friday that Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Mrs. Carlene Henry-Morton, led a delegation of tourism stakeholders onboard the Silver Muse, to commemorate the ship’s inaugural visit to the destination. Today, five cruise ships chose St. Kitts as the ideal holiday destination for their passengers on the occasion of Christmas.

According to permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Mrs. Carlene Henry-Morton, “the arrival of the Silver Muse marked the 11th ship to start new visits to our island, and shows the confidence cruise lines have in St. Kitts as a premier cruise destination”.
In the heart of the Carnival Season, Jouvert jump-up to be exact, six Cruise Ships are expected to Dock at Port Zante taking the total number of ship visits in two days to 11; truly a historic December for Tourism in St. Kitts with over 100 Port calls, (Three of the ships expected tomorrow are Serenade of the Seas, Crown Princess and Freedom of the Seas).
Back in November, Minister of Tourism, Hon. Lindsay Grant stated, ” we want to make St. Kitts and Nevis the best stop on their itinerary” and what better time than in the heart of the Carnival Season to have a boom in Tourism.
Thus far, Kittitian stakeholders have not disappoint; each stakeholder has rose to the occasion to provide thrilling and memorable experiences for the passengers from the Adventure of the Seas, Caribbean Princess, Crystal Esprite, Seabourn Odyssey and Costa Pacifica.
