SKN PULSE – National Senior Calypso King, Calypso Craig placed third, (second runner up) in the 2017 Leeward Islands ‘Calypso Competition which was staged in Anguilla on last night, (Saturday).
He was beaten by Roxy of Anguilla and King Zacari of Antigua. This was McDowell’s first regional competition.
The newly crowned Antiguan, King Zacari sang Descendents of Uncle Tom and The Road Called Freedom.
Second place went to Roxy of Anguilla and third place to Calypso Craig of St. Kitts.
Unfortunately, King Hollywood of Nevis was unable to place in the top three. However, according to all reports he represented well and placed sixth, (725). So much so that even the radio commentators had him in the top three spots.
