Veteran artiste, Buju Banton has signed up for voluntary deportation to return to Jamaica in the shortest time possible after his sentence ends.
The Grammy-winning recording artiste is serving a ten year sentence which currently whining down.
Buju has signed up for voluntary deportation to return to Jamaica in the shortest time possible after his sentence ends.
Ronnie Tomlinson, Buju spokesperson said:
“Banton’s lawyers had made legal operation to avoid that process and he is not fighting his immigration status.”
“Buju has made sure that his stay with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be as short as possible. He has opted for voluntary deportation. He should be home in very short order after his sentence ends.”
Buju Banton is presently being housed at the McRae Correctional Facility in Georgia and is listed as inmate number 86700-004. He is set to be released on December 8, 2018.
