SKN PULSE – History has repeated itself as Guyana copped the Miss Black San International 2018 crown. Last year, Guyana won the first ever hosting of the Miss Black San Regional competition.
Eight beautiful ladies vied for the coveted title of Miss Black San International 2018. They were: Guyana, Antigua, St. Kitts and Nevis, Trinidad and Tobago, St. Martin, Anguilla, Barbados and the United States.
Represented by Faydeha Cathylyna King, a social ill practitioner, Guyana was awarded Best Designer Swimwear and Top Designer swimsuit, Best Identical Swimwear Model and Best Battle of the Brushes MUA.
Miss Guyana amassed a total of 1135 points.
At the end of the night: the other positions were as follows: 1st runner-up: Miss Trinidad and Tobago, 2nd runner-up: Miss St. Martin while the 3rd runner-up went to Miss St. Kitts and Nevis.
Black San’ Bang-a-Lang is a Sandy Point community festival chaired by a dynamic group of young persons. The lineup for the annual event ranges from open-air concerts and talent pageants to j’ouvert street jams in which bands parade through the streets.

Miss Black San International – Miss Guyana (1135 points)
First Runner-up – Miss Trinidad and Tobago (1096 points)
Second Runner-up – Miss St. Martin (1054.5 Points)
Third Runner-up – Miss St. Kitts (1044 points)
Best Vintage Swimwear – Miss St Kitts
Best Designer Swimwear and Top Designer swimsuit – Miss Guyana
Best Identical Swimwear Model – Miss Guyana
Best Battle of the Brushes MUA – Miss Guyana
Best Interview – Miss Trinidad and Tobago
