The Minnesota Lynx added a versatile piece to their frontcourt in the 2020 WNBA Draft on Friday night, forward Mikiah Herbert Harrigan from Anguilla was selected as the sixth overall pick.
Herbert Harrigan was a big part of the top-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks’ success during her tenure at College.
She led the team in scoring with 13.1 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Harrigan has the distinction of being the third player in program history to record 1,000 points and 200 blocks in her career.
Herbert Harrigan selection came as a surprise since Minnesota Lynx needed to fill a void in their backcourt. Nevertheless, the Lynx picked the best player available.
