St. Kitts to benefit from additional airlift: American Airlines is adding another option for North Texas travelers looking to get away to the Caribbean this summer, with the carrier announcing a new route to the island of St. Kitts on Thursday.
The seasonal route from DFW International Airport will operate once-per-week on Saturdays as of May 25 through to Aug. 17.
Flights aboard the 128-seat Airbus A319 jet will depart from DFW Airport at 9:55 a.m. and arrive at 3:55 p.m. Flights from St. Kitts back to DFW will leave at 4:45 p.m. and arrive at 8:45 p.m.
The Airbus A319 has eight business class seats, 24 in main cabin extra and 96 in the main cabin.
The addition of a non-stop flight from Dallas/Fort Worth by American Airlines marks yet another historic first for St. Kitts & Nevis as the destination continues to build out airlift from key source markets.
Racquel Brown, CEO of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority.
American currently operates 14 flights per week to St. Kitts from its hubs in Miami, Charlotte and New York.
This new announcement follows Minnesota-based Sun Country Airlines saying earlier this month it was also adding a flight between DFW and St. Kitts.
