Homicide detectives are investigating the Valentine’s Day shooting death of a female Education Support Staff who was shot on the premises of the Irish Town Primary School.
Police and medical emergency personnel responded to reports of the shooting in the school district sometime after 4pm.
There hasn’t been any indication as to whether students were still present on the compound when the incident occurred.
Up to press time, no arrest has been made and there is no suspect information at this time.
The fatal shooting comes less than two weeks after the shooting death of a male at a popular restaurant on Cayon Street.
Additional details about the shooting weren’t immediately released.
