St. Kitts and Nevis is mourning the loss of well known pediatrician Dr. Ian Jacobs. The sad event occurred last night, Wednesday 13th February, 2019.
For over 28 years, Dr. Ian Jacobs M.B.E served as the only Pediatrician at the Joseph N. France Hospital. He has cared for hundreds of the nation’s children at his private pediatric and at the hospital.
His notable medical career included a 12-year stint as District Medical Officer at the Pogson Hospital.
Last last year, Dr. Jacobs received the award of Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) for his contribution to Nation building in the medical services.
