Over the past seven days, the UWI Seismic Research Centre has recorded five earthquake near Trinidad and Tobago. The recording registered with a magnitude of 4.8.
Preliminary reports indicate that no damages have been reported.

On October 23, 2018, two earthquakes were recorded within hours of each other.
On October 21, 2018, a 5.1 earthquake was recorded just 78 kilometres north-east of Tobago.
On October 20, 2018, a 4.2 earthquake was recorded between Trinidad and Barbados.
