SKN PULSE, Wednesday 30, 2016 – A press release issued earlier today by the Ministry of Education confirmed the top academic performers in the recent CSEC examinations.
Rol-J, Ronicia, Rikki and Anneka are the Federation’s top CSEC performers for 2016.
Mr. Rol-J Williams, a former student of the Gingerland Secondary School now enrolled at the Nevis Sixth Form College produced the Most Outstanding Performance overall in the May-June 2016 Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate Examinations in the Federation. Rol-J wrote 17 subjects and obtained 17 passes with 17 distinctions. Young Williams also wins the award for Most Outstanding candidate in Business and Humanities.
In a tie for first runner up Ronicia Liburd of the Charlestown Secondary School and Rikki Blake Brookes of the Basseterre High School both received 11 subject passes with 11 distinctions respectively.
In addition to this they both received the identical amount of A’s and B’s.
Third runner-up for the Most Outstanding CSEC performance overall is non-other than Anneka Ferguson, (GSS). Anneka initially tied with Ronicia and Rikki by virtue of the same number of subject passes, (11). However, the tie was broken by the module performance. Anneka received two less A grades, (26) than Rikki and Ronicia who both got 28.
Rol-J and Anneka attended the Gingerland Secondary School. GSS received a 91% pass rate, the best in the Federation for 2016.
The release from the Ministry of Education extended congratulations to the students and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
