District 12 has been crowned as the winner of the Summer Dance competition which was held on Friday 26 July at the National Carnival Village.
The group which consists of four young teens, (Jeymi, Hailey, Shakira and Safiya) aged 13 to 16 were managed by Cashan Watson and directed by Desi Brown of Poise SKN.
The young teens competed against groups that were much older but at the end of the evening, age didn’t matter.
Performing in their first competition, the young teens showed up and conquered.
As the winner, they were presented with their first place trophy by Director of Culture, Troy Biff Mills.
In addition, District 12 won an all expenses paid trip to CARIFESTA 2019.
CARIFESTA will be held in Trinidad and Tobago from August 16-25.
The competition was organized by the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee.
