Basseterre, St. Kitts- The SOL Island Auto Conaree football team were crowned the 2017 Premier League Easter Cup Champions after defeating Hobson Enterprise Garden Hotspurs in the Easter Cup finals last night, (Saturday, April 15) at the Warner Park Stadium.
The grand show down for the night between Spurs and Conaree lived up to expectations. After a tense battle through regulation and an own goal by Conaree, it took extra time to decide the winner. After the final whistle, the SOL Island Auto Conaree FC were victorious.

The goal scorers for Conaree were Kadeem Lewis (2), Sylvester Caines and Javern Matthew (2).
The lone goal scorer for HE Garden Hotspurs was Marlo Martin. Kadeem Lewis unfortunatley scored an own goal which increased the Spurs goal tally.
After been tied 1-1 and then 2-2, Spurs lost momentum as Sylvester Caines and Javern Matthew found the back of the net to extend Conaree’s lead over Spurs. At that point, the Conaree team and their fans were in full celebration mode.
President of the St. Kitts and Nevis Football Association, Mr. Anthony Johnson was on hand to congratulate and present the SOL Island Auto Conaree team with the 2017 Easter Cup Trophy.
*Teams that qualified for the Easter Cup based on points accumulated in the second round only, were as follows:
SOL Island Auto Conaree – 20 points from 9 games
RAMS Village Superstars – 19 points from 9 games
HE Garden Hotspurs – 19 points from 9 games
FLOW 4G Cayon Rockets – 17 points from 9 games
