Visits to Her Majesty’s Prison will be suspended effective tomorrow, Sunday 22 March, 2020.
Given the imminent threat of COVID-19 and the Prison being especially vulnerable to infectious disease outbreaks, the decision highlights that the safety of prisoners is paramount.
According to a press statement, the suspension of visits is a precautionary measure.

As a precautionary measure, the public is asked to note that as of Sunday, March 22, 2020, visits to Her Majesty’s Prison will be suspended until further notice.
The management of the Prison apologises for any inconvenience this move might cause.
