Dr. Keith Blake would have turned 90 years old in June. In his early life, he completed undergraduate studies at Mount Allison University and graduate studies at Dalhousie University, both of which are in Canada.
Dr. Blake recently lost his dear wife of 37 years, Judith, who died on Saturday, March 9th, 2019 at the age of 80 years old.
“Keith and Judith had a profound connection and love story that many only dream about,” Prime Minister Harris said, adding, “With her warm presence and towering strength and spirituality, she was the light unto her husband’s path – and he was her mentor and protector, who cherished their long, happy life together and the special times they shared with family and friends.”
The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis continued, “I count myself blessed to not only have known the two of them, but to have been welcomed generously, without reservation, into their loving home. I will always remember my visits with them fondly, as their beautiful abode served as a sanctuary and even somewhat as a seminary in light of the many prayers that we said there, leading up to the 2015 elections and after Team Unity and I were sworn in to lead the government.”
Prime Minister Harris also noted that, “They completed each other and now they are reunited in glory.”
They are survived by children, Brenda Blake and Victoria Barlizo; daughter-in-law, Michelle Lerman-Blake; Dr. Blake’s siblings, Russel Blake and Sydney Blake; grandchildren, Josh, Julianne and Zakary, and great grandchildren, Benjamin and Isabelle.
Dr. Keith Blake’s graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 1st, 2019 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at 1:00pm. It will take place at York Cemetery & Funeral Centre. The address is 160 Beecroft Road in North York.
