A win was necessary for the Patriots on Sunday and they didn’t disappoint. On hand to witness the victory was Leader of the Opposition in the Federal Parliament, the Right Honourable, Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.
The Former Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas (right) congratulated His Excellency, Dr. Uday Nyack, owner of the St. Kitts-Nevis Patriots, after their impressive victory over the Jamaica Tallawahs Sunday night at the Warner Park Stadium in the 2018 CPL 20 Tournament.

An exciting innings from Rovman Powell, (84) proved insufficient for the Jamaica Tallawahs as they ammassed 206/6 in their allotted 20 overs.
Chris Gayle wasted no time with the run chase, it was boundary after boundary and after 1 over Patriots were 18/0. A rain delay saw the Patriots ahead by 7 runs and their revised target required them to get just over 100 plus in 11 overs. At the resumption of play Patriots lost two quick wickets including captain Gayle.
He scored (41 in 24). Rassie van der Dussen with (45 in 24) steered the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots to a thrilling seven-wicket victory via the (DLS method).
Patriots now has nine points and are currently positioned at 4th. With the win, they secured a spot in the CPL 2018 playoffs.
