Press Release
Billed as one of the headliners for the 2020 instalment of CariDubai, reggae crooner Nesbeth was forced to halt plans for his inaugural trip to Dubai as the Corona pandemic sweeps across the globe. The week-long (April 12-19th) festivities geared towards exposing North Americans and Caribbean natives to the ambience of the Middle East is also a music festival that gives locals a taste of the best entertainment offerings from the Caribbean.
A seemingly despirited Nesbeth said, “Corona has stopped me from making my debut appearance in Dubai and had to cancel some festivals in Europe included Uppsala Reggae Festival among a few other shows in USA and Jamaica. However, I do understand a little bit of what is going on with this current crisis. I’ve high hopes that these dark days will past soon so I’m here working twice as hard as before.”
Amid the current adversities, the ‘My Dream’ hitmaker continues to keep it ‘Real’ with the release of a new single of the same name courtesy of Sweet Music imprint. Alluding to the creative process behind ‘Real’, Nesbeth intimated that this current economic climate has brought a lot to the forefront, “Now more than ever you realized that not many people are who they appear to be, hence a song like this is very relevant to the time.”
Currently enjoying premium rotation on various platforms across the diaspora Nesbeth says he is very upbeat about the reception he has been receiving,
“I’m excited about the feedback I’m getting for this song it reminds me of when My Dream was out.”
Released last Friday courtesy of Zojak Worldwide, the compilation titled World Rocking Riddim also features dancehall compatriots Masicka, Jahmiel, Chino, SingingSweet and Busy Signal among others. Nesbeth also disclosed that plans are afoot for the release of another single titled ‘They Will Let You Down’ produced by CD Master. The project will also be accompanied by an official video.
