Basseterre, St. Kitts, Thursday, April 24, 2025: The Natta Scholarship Fund is celebrating its 15th anniversary of transforming lives and uplifting communities through education under the theme ‘Celebrating Over a Decade of Academic Excellence, Community Impact and Student Success’.

Established on April 8, 2010, the non-profit organization was founded in honour of the late William Marcus Natta, a dedicated former army sergeant, accounts clerk, and trade unionist, and has remained steadfast in its mission to break down financial barriers for promising students across St. Kitts, carrying forward his legacy of service through a scholarship program that has transformed the lives of countless young people over the years.

Since its inception, the Natta Scholarship Fund has provided critical financial support to primary school students. In addition to direct scholarships, the Fund has also contributed to several educational institutions, further strengthening the academic foundation of St. Kitts.
Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley, Minister of Education, extended commendations to Dr. Marcus Natta, Cabinet Secretary and son of the late William Marcus Natta.

“It is indeed an honour for me to say congratulations to Dr. Marcus Natta on the 15th anniversary of the scholarship program that is so helpful to so many children over these many years. 15 years ago, I could imagine that he and his family never thought this simple seed sown would have blossomed into such a botanical garden. Once again, I just want to thank him and pray for God’s continued blessings as he continues to mold lives among our youths. Congratulations! Well done!”
As the Natta Scholarship Fund steps into its next chapter, it remains committed to nurturing the potential of the nation’s youth.
