SKN PULSE – St. Kitts-Nevis’ sprint icon KIM COLLINS has secured the MOST votes, (798) out of 15 candidates to be elected onto the IAAF’s Athletes’ Commission. He will be serving for the quadrennial January 2018 – December 2021.
Elections for the six places on the IAAF Athletes’ Commission ran from 1-12 August and all athletes accredited for the IAAF World Championships London 2017 were eligible to vote.
The top six selectees were Kim Collins, (SKN), Thomas Rohler, (GER), Ivana Spanovic, (SRB), Benita Willis, (AUS), Adam Kszczot, (POL) and Inaki Gomez, (CAN).
Collins received the blessings from the SKNAAA to proceed with his plans to serve on this committee. Thus opening up the door for new possibilities.
His selection comes as a major development for track and field in St. Kitts-Nevis.
