An investigation has been launched into a shooting shooting incident in Malcolm Hill. The incident occurred on October 24th, 2025, between 4:30 AM and 5 AM.
According to police, preliminary investigations indicate that Derrick Liburd of Malcolm Hill was leaving his residence to go to work when a lone masked individual opened fire on him.
Liburd sustained a graze wound to his right shoulder and was transported to the Alexandra Hospital by ambulance, where he was treated and later discharged.
The Crime Scene Unit of the RSCNPF processed the scene and collected some items of evidential value. Investigations into the matter remain ongoing, and the general public will be appropriately updated as developments occur.
The investigation is ongoing.
