Charlestown, Nevis, (SKN PULSE) – A new Calypso Monarch has been crowned in Nevis. Patrons last evening, (Saturday 6) witnessed the crowning of Andrew ‘Hollywood’ Nisbett as the 2017 TDC Sponsored Senior Calypso Monarch winner amassing 830 points.

King Hollywood, who is celebrating 25 years in the Calypso arena won the crown for the second time as he dehtroned veterans King Dis and Dat and King Astro in the process. Both of whom were unable to place.
Daddy Nature, (811) and Charis D, (792) placed first and second runners up respectively. Charis D was the lone female participant.
King Hollywood will represent Nevis in the Leeward Islands Calypso Competition to be held in Anguilla shortly.
The official results were as follows:
2017 TDC SENIOR KAISO MONARCH – HOLLYWOOD (830 points)
1st runner up – Daddy Nature (811 points)
2ND runner up – CharisD (792 points)
