Coach Alex Claxton of Bath said the win was a result of proper preparation one game at a time. “It’s important that we prepare game by game…the game that we are supposed to play, we prepare for,” the coach said. For this match, he said the aim for the first half was not to concede any goal and press Conaree in the second half to score. “We believed that when we came back out in the second half, we would have been able to apply some pressure and make sure we pressure them in their own half, and out of that, the goals came,” Claxton explained.

Coach Al Richards of Conaree said its back to the drawing board to work out the kinks, having lost the second consecutive match of the season. “We have to do the right thing. First, we have to finish the goals. We are creating a lot of opportunities but our finishing is poor and defensively we have to tighten up.  Too many easy goals are scoring on us,” Richards said.

Meanwhile, Old Road continued their fine form to start the season, with a convincing 3-1 victory over Rams Village Superstars.
