A two-member team will represent St Kitts and Nevis at the 38th CARIFTA Aquatic Championships that will be held at the National Aquatics Centre, Balmain Couva in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago from April 19 through April 22, 2025.
1x Olympian Troy Nisbett and Skyla Connor have been selected to represent the Federation at this event. Last year, the duo were the first swimmers from St Kitts and Nevis to participate in the CARIFTA Aquatic Championships.
The two-member team will be coached by National swim coach, James Weekes.
In a press release from the St Kitts and Nevis Aquatics Federation, James said he’s thrilled to have Troy & Skyla yet again represent the federation in swimming, a sport that is rapidly gaining popularity both locally and regionally.
We are putting forth our utmost effort with the resources available to prepare them for this highly competitive discipline within their respective age groups. We wish them the best of luck as they compete against the top athletes in the Caribbean region.
The four day CARIFTA Aquatic Championships is an international age-group competition that brings together athletes from across the Caribbean to compete in various aquatic disciplines.
