Miss Cayon High School (CHS), Avanya Richards, was adjudged the 2018/2019 National Talented Teen winner on Wednesday 26th December at the Sugar Mill, Warner Park Cricket Stadium.

From a field of six confident young teens, Cayon High School represented by Ms. Avanya Richards won by a point. She amassed 602.5 points to beat her closest rival Washington Archibald High School. Richards was adjugded Best Ambassadorial Costume and Best Formal Teenage Wear.
T’Shaunte Smith of Washington Archibald High School placed 1st runner up with 601.5 points. Daneika Dickenson of the Basseterre High School placed 2nd runner up with 579 and Kadeisjah Egen of Charles E. Mills Secondary School placed 3rd runner up with 568 points.
The other participants were: Vijhan Woodley of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College and Siddoyah Warner of the Verchilds High School.
The young teens graced the stage in four segments: Ambassadorial Costume/Speech, Talent, Formal Teenage Wear and Interview.

Miss Talented Teen 2018 – 2019: Avanya Richards of CHS (602.5 points)
1st runner up: T’Shaunte Smith of WAHS (601.5 points)
2nd runner up: Daneika Dickenson of BHS (579 points)
3rd runner up: Kadeisjah Egen of CEMSS ( 568 points)

Many thanks to the Deputy Principal and teachers of CHS, Cliff and Patricia (Avanya’s parents), chaperone (Jonelle O’Loughlin) and her team, family members, friends, neighbours and the many past and present students who turned out in their numbers to show their support.
