Spectacular spin bowling, strategic field placement and exceptional fielding were the keys to victory in the just concluded Paradise Beach T20 Explosion Final.
The Caribbean Lottery’s SuperSixers won the inaugural Paradise Beach T20 Explosion Final against Smashers which was played at the Elquemedo Willett Park yesterday, (Saturday 14th).
Having won the toss, SuperSixers elected to bat first. They posted 143 in their allotted 20 overs. Jamie Cornelius scored 30 plus before departing.

For the Smashers, Wasim Mintos took 2-16 from 4 overs while Hakeem Harvey bagged 2-19 from 3 overs.
Smashers, who needed just 144 for victory fell short as SuperSixers bowlers proved to be too much for the Smashers.
Caribbean Lottery’s SuperSixers players, Powell, Bussue and Cornelius won match and touranment awards respectively.
The Digicel Play of the match went to Ross Powell for his excellent catch in the deep to dismiss captain Adelvin Phillip at a crucial juncture in the match, that sparked the collapse of the Smashers.

The man of the match award went to Theron Bussue; he bagged four wickets, (Hat-trick) from 2 overs while conceding 1 run. While Jamie Cornelius won the Digicel Most Valuable Player of the tournament. He amassed 144 runs and bagged 6 wickets in the tournament.
Minister of Sports, Eric Evelyn was on hand to present the SuperSixers with their trophy.
