SKN PULSE, Basseterre, Monday 19, December, 2016 – Calypso lovers turned out to Sugar Mill last night, (Sunday 18 December) to witness the Calypso Semi-Finals as 18 calypsonians delivered their two competition pieces. The night however was dominated by the female calypsonians; four female calypsonians are through to the finals.
Veteran Calypsonian Socrates led from the front as he earned 811 points. Calypso Craig placed second with 784 points and Singing Jackie placed third as she amassed 741 points.
The other finalists are Little Miss Attitude, (735), Queenie G, (734), Hollywood, (730) and Lady Diva, (722). The alternate is I-Soursop who scored 719 points.
The seven calypsonians will compete on the 29 of December for the Senior Calypso Monarch. The reigning Senior Calyspso Monarch King Astro out of Nevis will be looking to win his third straight crown in St. Kitts.
