It is nine days now that 17-year-old Keys resident has been missing.
Although there have been ongoing searches by parties of law enforcement, family, friends and concern citizens, the disappearance of the Basseterre High School (BHS) student remains a mystery.
A person familiar with the search and related matters said Leanna, a fifth former, sat her CXC English Paper on the morning of May 8th, the same day she disappeared. Her next exam paper was the day after.
The person confirmed Monday that Leanna was in the Buckley’s area to meet an uncle, but he was not at the workplace and after communication; she met him on Fort Street in the afternoon, where he gave her an envelope with some money.
Leanna, whose Trinidad-born mother, died two years ago, was born on September 8th 1999.
In a Missing Person’s statement, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has been appealing to persons with any information of her whereabouts to contact the Basseterre Police Station at 465 2241 or the nearest police station or call Crime Stoppers at 1 800 8477.
