Basseterre High School has received a welcome boost to its music programme following the donation of two clarinets, one cornet, and one keyboard through the school’s ongoing Instrument Drive.
The donation was facilitated by Sweet Sister Sensia, who received the instruments from an anonymous donor and coordinated their presentation to the school.
Present at the handover ceremony were Principal Mr. Damon Bacchus, Music Teacher Mr. Gavin Charles, and Gabriel Ross, a member of the Basseterre High School Band. The instruments were formally presented to the school during a brief ceremony held on campus.
Mr. Charles and Gabriel Ross expressed sincere appreciation to Sweet Sister Sensia for promoting the Instrument Drive on her various platforms and for her continued advocacy on behalf of children and young people. They also extended heartfelt thanks to the anonymous donor whose generosity has made a meaningful contribution to the development of student musicians at Basseterre High School.
Principal Mr. Bacchus noted that the donation will strengthen the school’s music programme and provide additional opportunities for students to develop their musical talents.
Basseterre High School remains committed to providing a well-rounded education that nurtures excellence in academics, sports, and the performing arts. The school welcomes continued donations as it seeks to expand the school’s music program.
