Two nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis have been selected for the 2026 Young Leaders of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) .

The annual fellowship program brings 250 entrepreneurs from 37 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada to the United States for skills-based mentorship programs in host businesses and enterprises.

The participants will learn a particular business skill set, and have the opportunity to make and expand their networks with their professional U.S. hosts.

The two St Kitts and Nevis fellows are Tricia Clarke-Jeffers of Global Communications Solutions Limited and Tiffany Paul Browne of Kreative Designs by Aj. They will represent the Federation in the upcoming cohort. The United States Embassy in Bridgetown made the announcement via Facebook.

The fellows will travel to Houston, Texas in April for the opening orientation before travelling to various cities across the United States for a four-week professional placement.  The program will conclude in Washington, D.C. in May.

Since its launch in 2015, YLAI has enabled more than 2,000 fellows to build connections and learn from and collaborate with American innovators and industry leaders.  Within one year of completing YLAI, 84 percent of fellows secured new resources to advance their work.
