SKN PULSE – Routine check by the K9 unit at the LIAT Cargo area leads to drug discovery. Last evening, (Friday 17th March), members of the K9 unit seized 156 pounds of cannabis.
The 156 pounds of cannabis was found stashed in cardboard boxes.
The drugs arrived on LIAT flight 315 from St Maarten mid-afternoon on Friday.
The drug has an estimated street value of over $626,000.
The Criminal Investigations Department is carrying out intensive investigations.
