Breaking News: St. Kitts and Nevis,  (SKNP)  – According to reports reaching this media house, a young man was shot and killed sometime after  4 pm today in the vicinity of the Village Methodist Church,  (a narrow road connecting St. Johnston Avenue and Cardin Avenue) as children were on their way home from school.

 

Reports indicate that a white rental car which was  driven by Marlon “Mabo” Mills and accompanied by his girlfriend in the front passenger seat, pulled up on the road and shortly after a black car that appeared to have followed the couple pulled up on Cardin Avenue.  After a few minutes had elapsed, a male exited the car, approached the rental and shot at the deceased.

 

The gunman then ran back to the black vehicle, which promptly left the scene.

 

Pictures circulating through social media showed Mills slumped over in the rental with at least one gunshot injury visible at the back of his head. While the woman who was shot once in the leg, exited the rental and lay on the sidewalk until a responding EMS unit arrived and took her to the nearby Joseph N. France Hospital.

Mills was pronounced dead on the scene at approximately 4:50.

 

According to a police press release, investigations are ongoing and a person of interest is in custody.
